We encourage beginners and advanced players to try us out. We offer both amateur 8-Ball & 9-Ball Leagues using the APA's Equalizer Handicap System where everyone has an equal chance to win. Teams consist of 5-8 players with a low weekly fee of $30 per team or $6 per player plus a $25 annual membership fee. Teams compete in local divisions where the APA Hosting Taverns are grouped geographically to minimize traveling distance. The APA league year is divided into 3 sessions, with each session running between 12 and 17 weeks. Teams may play on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday, so it's easy to fit the APA into your schedule. Winning teams compete for the right to represent Dayton in Las Vegas at the APA National Team Championships. We also offer player achievement patches and trophies to our members.
Nationally the APA is the World's Largest Amateur Pool League with more members than all other amateur leagues combined. The APA currently boasts over 250,000 members (and growing). Think you're not good enough to play in the APA? Consider this: 75% of APA members are beginner to intermediate players, meaning you don't have to be a Pool Pro to play and with the APA's Equalizer® Handicap System everyone has a nearly equal chance of winning.
